hi jillhnz,
welcome!
if you want to travel from the north to Turkey, it may be possible (but don't count on my word for it) if you are willing to stay for longer than twenty four hours there. (then) you may be able to travel to turkey if you are returning to Cyprus I think, (you must make enquiries with the Republic of Cyprus, toward understanding their laws on crossings to the north as well) but any other travel, internationally must be done through the south if you seek the security that ICAO can offer you.
while you stay in the north I hope that you can buy locally, and support Turkish Cypriots, rather than the people who have taken to profit for themselves from the illegal occupation. you will find all Cypriots hospitable and respectful, and some will say it is the most beautiful place on earth.
try halloumi cooked over the coals, and being from New Zealand, I hope you like lamb.
cheers! |
